Open Deck for Camping Car and Caravanes Ferries 2024

Some suggestions for a smooth trip onboard ferries using your caravan and saving time and money. All informations, timetables, tariffs of all ferry companies with "OPEN DECK" service departing from any Mediterranean port.

As per Italian Authorities Guardia Costiera "Camping Onboard" is authorized with some limitations: (circ dd 06/08/1998 Prot. n. 87/004387/Sic.Nav.).

Some companies are organized to accept Camping on board, but with the following rules due to security:
- The service is available only from 1st April to 30th September.
- In the area "Camping on Board", only diesel vehicles are permitted.
- No possibility to connect vehicle for electricity or water.
- It is forbidden to use gas bottles and cooking is not allowed inside the vehicle.
- It is forbidden to smoke or keep vehicles running.
- based on safety regulations and maritime law, the captain may deny access to the camping deck in adverse weather conditions, and may demand that the passengers stay in the indoor area of the boat. Possibly requested cabins will be charged.
